Architecture is usually about building, but not only that. The PA1 house in Zurndorf in Burgenland shows how even a relatively simple task such as a family house can represent an experimental challenge. It is not surprising, since it was designed by PPAG, the innovative Viennese practice prone to experimentation.
In a small town like Zurndorf, this house, with its very prominent outer membrane, may well look surprising. It is easy to explain why a simple task of building a family house became a genuine research project.
